M tech options

Hi everyone,

I am currently putting some of the M tech options on my E39, to finish the Sport pack that was not completely installed at the factory.

The parts I am looking at now are the M door sill covers. I bought the front pair off ebay and they were not quite what I expected. I have searched throught the EPC and found the matching rears, but they are from an M5, not the M sport model.

They are black plastic with a long clear plastic insert with silver/grey stripes along it and the M and the three coloured stripes in the middle.

I am wondering if anyone else has the M cover sill strips and what type they have.

Pics and part numbers if possible would be great.

My front right part number is 51 47 2 494 822.

Ideally the ones I want are similar to the stock covers, just with the M logo in the middle, instead of the BMW logo, not the clear plastic insert type.

Are those part codes for the black plastic ones with the logo in the plastic?

Here is apic of the sills I got. Not very clear, plus you can not make out the clear plastic insert as part of the sill.

Does anyone have a picture of the sills Tyrone lists. I have completely different part codes on my new sills. I will try to get a good pic of them fitted to my car now. They look ok, but I think I am going to have difficulty ordering the rears from the dealer, as they list as M5 parts, no dealer in the UK lets you order M5 parts without an M5 chassis number.

I do not want to order the rears fromt he part codes Tyrone gave without knowing the parts I will get match the front ones I have already!
