I wonder if M5s suffer the same radiator failures that the 540s classically suffer from?
Do a search here with '540 radiator failure' and you'll find PLENTY of stuff to read about.

there have not been a lot of rad failures with the M5. THis may be because there aren't as many and they typically don't have the higher milage numbers. Not sure if the M5 shares the 540 rad or not.
Otherwise, the car will likely need a clutch at 70k if it hasn't already been replaced. It's probably had mafs and possibly a vanos unit by that milage too. Check the service history for those. A search on www.m5board.com will be helpful too.
