'm taking the 540 in to VF Engineering next week to have the supercharger installed. I can't wait to drive it with its new found power! They use a Vortech supercharger and GIAC software, utilizing 6 lbs of boost to generate 370 hp at the rw. It is the cleanest kit I've seen for a V8 BMW. Here is a pic of the sc installed on a 99 540. The cost of the kit is $6k + intstallation. I will post the dyno results when its done. Here is a pic.  |

please post DYNO and maybe a price breakdown on the SC kit. I may want it for future reference. Who knows...I may hit the lotto and can afford it!

I have the Dinan S3 supercharger package on my 97 540. You are going to be really impressed with the power you will have on tap. At first I had problems with the software. The car wouldn't pull in the low RPM range. It took until the mid 4.5k range until the supercharger kicked in. I got upgraded to the Dinan Stage V software package and now it pulls anywhere in the powerband. If you have any specific questions on it I would be happy to answer them.
