Head gaskets
Hi, I have 97 540i I had an acedent, not very big but it droped the engine bag one side. THe radiator was massed up and i was stupid enoth to drive it I kepped it cool but it over heated and i stoped. So i waited a few minutes not very long and added watter + coolant and it started to boil and steam strated to come thu the radiator fill. Well after i got it cooled and ready to go i started to go a litle furver but then the car started tro smoke i puled over to site of the rode and looked to the engine it was smoking. And undernith the car oil leaked a lite bit. I checke oil level it was fine but smelled realy bad.
So my point it. The insurance sait they fix the car. Actually the shop sait the engine is fine before repairs to the body. ANd now then the body is fixed they say the engine is on me to fix. They don't know that i was driving it after the acsident. And my point again, is their a way to get insurance to pay or to make totall on the car? Or another question .. if ir comes all on me to fix how bad do you think the engine is messed up? I know it's head gaskets, but maybe something else ? Thank you for your time.

Your car needs to go to the mechanic. Iguess you could try and fight the insurance company, as the radiator may have been damaged in the accident. This is probably asking a bit much, but do you have pics?
Im going back to bed.
