Hi,

I have notice I have a strange smell coming from my heater/bower. It only happens when the air con is off and I notice is most when I start the car. It smells like ammonia

It has started since I done my sat nav retrofit, I had the right pollen/micro filter housing out to fit some wiring.

I have removed both pollen/micro filters, neither seem to smell bad, plus the smell still seems there with the filters out, although I only tested it with the filters out for a min or so.

Any ideas? Or is there anything I can check?

I have found a clean for air con systems, it's a gas you release in to the heater system, to clean it out,anyone used something like this before?

Is it worth swapping the pollen/micro filters? Are the dealer filters the charcoal type?
