Hi everyone, I have a quick question on the difference between the Comfort Seats and the Sport Seats. I understand the comfort seats have a 20 way control. How many does the sport seats have? ( 12 or 14 way control? ) Exactly what is the difference between the two, Is it the headrest portion and the upper articulating back portion that are the only differences? I'm not exactly sure, but I know the upholstery and cushioning of the comfort seats is completely different than the sport seats. In addition, there are more adjustments.
My comfort seats have:
in/out side bolsters
3 lumbar in/out positions (very low, mid low, high low)
the articulating seat back (bends in the middle)
lengthening seat bottom
up/down headrest with pull forward wings
Is that 20? LOL!!
If they had ventilation, they'd be perfect. Hope this helps.

Starting in mY07, the sport seats and comfort seats are the same thing.

No the E60 (5er) Sport Package incl what used to be called "Comfort Seats" (now called Multi-Contour Seats) instead of the Sports Seats.
I have no idea about the E90 (3er)...

bmwccc | Thanks for the replies, I should have been more specific about my comparison. I am considering getting an 05' 545i vs. a 2007 530i. I realize the 07' has contour 20 way seats standard in sport package and the 05' 545i in the sport package has sport seats standard with comfort seats as an option.
So, I am trying to find out what additional movements or support areas the contour seats have vs. the sports seats. ( I guess I could compare the current sport seats in the 3er to the contour 20 way, does anyone know if those sport seats are the same as in a 04' or 05' 5er to the current 3er? )
Also, both have 4 way lumbar control, does the contour have additional lumbar controls?
