J.D. Powers 2006 Vehicle Intial Quality Study...BMW Quality Plummets.
Here is a link to the 2006 J.D. Powers Vehicle Initial Quality Study that has just been released. Unfortunately, BMW has dropped from the top of the ratings to close to the bottom. Sounds like they need to get their act together quickly. http://www.jdpa.com/news/releases/pr...asp?ID=2006082 Here is a link to the PDF file posted on another forum that is easier to read: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?act=...=post&id=25430 | | Reply » J.D. I wonder what's up? Good thing that you get a 4 year/50k of FULL warranty....

No squeaks, rattles, defects, problems, glitches, repairs, services or adjustments of any kind!!
Hopefully my good fortune will continue for the rest of my lease. I wonder if the JD Power results are "skewed" by a few unhappy owners, or am I just one of the few lucky ones??
Anyone else out there with a problem free 5er???

If the car goes without any problems with the exception of normal wear and tear like brakes, tire changes for at least 3 years, then I'll be impressed ... I own a 2003 Toyota Sequoia with 39,000 Miles on it and no problems.

(Sure, my AM reception stinks, but that seems to be a design issue and not a problem with my particular car).
However, one car does not a reputation make. I'd like to know which model is dragging BMW's ratings down. Is it the E60?
