Just got my car and I notice when I try to scroll down on any list as soon as I hit the bottom of the list and new data has to be pulled onto the screen - I get this fighting resistance from the idrive  is that a "feature" Other than that so far it seems OK. |

A free spinning knob would not be a good idea especially while driving. You will soon appreciate the engineering that went into the system. Every thing from the position of the screen, no glare, ergonomics of the controller, etc.

This feature only available in car with Nav. It's called "force feedback" feature from BMW. It's very helpful for you to control driving while having your eyes on the road.

OK - cool , as long as it is supposed to do that. Odd that it is freely moving in the other direction (UP). Man, that voice recognition is awesome for short cutting around the iDrive.
