Hi
i am a new owner of jet black e60, i find it difficult to keep it clean , though i try my best washing the car once a week and applying the BMW wax around once a month and then i dust off the car with california car duster. i read a lot about detailing and am sure am missing something,
can anyone describe simple steps to wax a car and best product to use?
my steps are :
washing the car with bmw car shampoo
drying with chamoise
bmw wax , using polishing cloths

Pretty nice, Stream! Almost makes me want to get back into cleaning my own cars...almost...but not quite!

Black is always going to be tough. Good luck to you, black is very sharp when clean but can be a pain to keep it that way.

Check out the most recent edition of Consumers Reports. They have a two-pager on waxes/polishes, paint protection for your car. They tested about 30 different products.

Best thing with Black is DIY - don't let anyone else touch it - unless you have seen that they can do Black right, and will.
