My car is only at 18k miles and I have the 100k mile warranty / 50k maintenance plan. As far as maintenance is concerned, I've only had to get one oil & filter change so far (the warranty covered some other issues). My dealer told me that I'll need to get new tires within the next 10k miles because there is some wear on them, but those will be covered under the warranty. If I want to get the extended maintenance plan (up to 100k miles), it will cost an additional $1500 as long as I do it before the current plan expires at 50k miles. Under the BMW maintenance plan, I'll have about 7 oil changes between 50-100k miles (every 15k miles). If oil changes are about $100-125, I'm wondering whether it's worth it to pay for the extended maintenance. What other scheduled maintenance procedures can I expect to incur between 50-100k miles, and will they make it worth the money to buy the extended plan? Thanks to everyone for their input.
