 Sirius Satellite reception problems

I have an appointment to get my satellite radio checked next Tuesday but I'd like to find out if others are experiencing drop outs in satellite reception. I've had the car for about two months and it has gotten worse since the leaves are now filling the trees!

Is the receiver that sensitive?

I've taken a couple weekend trips to western Pennsylvania and up to Massachusetts without too many problems. My XM in my Avalon was rock solid. I only found one area when there was a drop out.

Just wanted to get a little ammo ready for the service folks.

Thanks

My Sirius was pretty solid all up and down the west coast (CA, OR, WA, and even British Columbia and Alberta). I don't recall any long or persistent cutting-out. Some of the mountainous regions of BC suffered some cutting but it was not surprising nor did it last long at all.

I wonder about the coverage (i.e. signal strength) of Sirius in NE/East Coast? Sounds like XM might have more coverage.

My Sirius reception is constantly cutting out. Anytime I go under a bridge, get behind a stand of trees, in my garage, wherever. I like the concept of Sat radio, but the reception needs to be a lot better than this.

Mine cuts out every 2-3 minutes. Getting very tired of the service visits even though my dealer is great, the car is not.

I've been having frequent drop outs now that the trees have leaves on them. It seems as if every time I go under a tree my reception drops. I live in PA and work in NJ. Some parts of my drive are on tree covered back roads and I usually have to switch to MP3s because it gets really annoying.

I didnt have this problem with my old XM MyFi in my 325 either. Just a couple dropouts going under overpasses. And I had the antenna inside my car on the rear deck.
