bmw 530i the ultimate "passenger" machine?

Review in Bimmer magazine says the driving experience has been forgotten to make way for electronic control and passenger comfort. Any comments from 530 owners? Has this model lost it's soul?

I love driving my E60. I hate riding in it as a passenger (gotta let my wife drive it once every now and than). My opinion is that the E60 is the best BMW ever.

With my wife's driving, I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than be a passenger. But being a passenger with a fellow BMW buddy, no problem!

Overall, I think the 5-series is one of the best family vacation vehicles and my wife seems to do just fine being a passenger. She prefers I drive anyway so it all works out.

My passengers aren't complaining. What are they talking about?

I rode a few E60s front and back seats are okay...much roomier than previous gen.

Y, I saw that article as well, "Ultimate Passenger Machine"

To ditto others, my wife prefers to ride anyway esp on our long (550, 850, 1050mi ea way) annual road trips which I drive through the night.

IMHO, BMW is still the ultimate DRIVING machine esp compared to the rivals in the marketplace. Does anyone else even offer a sporting rear drive car in this space with three pedals anymore?

I think it is more refined with each generation, say E34 to E39, then E39 to E60, evolution I guess.

But after seeing BMW M, I am convinced their exists a place where driving passion is their #1 goal - now I just need an M car
