Our E90 was hit by some debris when we were travelling on highway 17 near Los Gatos. The windscreen is chipped. The damage area is smaller than a penny. I need to find a good glass repair shop in the Bay Area, preferrably in the South Bay. Any good recommendation?

Does your insurance cover glass replacement? If so, let that crack propagate till it's deemed irrepairable. I've had a crack repaired and the result was pretty distorted

I have a one thousand dedcutible, if the cost of replacement is less than that, I cannot claim anyway. Any idea of cost of replacing OEM BMW glass? Also, would there be a problem of leaking?

It requires a specially heated epoxy that has to be applied within 30 seconds of being taken off the heater and the glass placed in that amount of time also.

Safelite Autoglass came out to my work and fixed a 4" long crack in about 20 minutes for $50.

How well a repair can I expect? Will it be very noticeable?
