Who else has a car that is trapped at a VPC? Mine has been there for 10 days now.... I'm trying really hard to be patient. Really. Actually, it'd be interesting to swap stories about what we've heard about when the cars will be released, and also if anyone has actually received their car recently. |

I placed the order for my monaco blue 530i on 3/24 and, although the Owner's Circle website shows that my car arrived at the VPC today, the dealer just called to announce its expected arrival at the dealership on Tuesday, 5/9. I'd say that you don't know how excited I am but, hey, you DO know how I excited I am!! (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)
I have had some problems the past few days getting info from the dealer as they would not admit that the car was at the port in Charleston already. I knew it had been on the Integrity and had disembarked on the 30th at 18:00. At any rate, it was apparently at the VPC in SC for about a week for those who are still waiting.

Quote: [/b]Where is that?!? Act production date 3/27/06 530XI
When will I get my car?!?
Anyone have any idea? | Mine was produced two days after yours, and I still have no news. I know that it can't stay at the VPC forever (or can it? ), but I wish I knew exactly what was happening time-frame wise. It sounds like the cars are moving through SC faster than in NJ.
I feel very sad. I keep telling myself that it's only a few more days, and then another week passes.

hello-
i'm new to this board. I have a question. I ordered a 2007 530 xi with navigation, premium package, cold weather package, sport package, 18 inch wheels, pdc, satellite radio and logic 7 in black sapphire metallic . i've went online to BMWUSA to track my car and it's been in the schedule for production for a couple of weeks. I orders the care on April 28th. the EDD is 6/5/06. My port location is CHSPOA. How were you guys able to track the car and find out if it was on the boat and the name of the boat? I'm very anxious as my other car requires a trip to the shop and I don't want to continue to waste money. Thanks!

I'm also from the Chicago area and ordered a 2007 525xi last month. My car is currently in-transit and is due into the port of Charleston on 5/21 with delivery to the dealer by 5/31.
I would advise using the BMW customer service number at 1-800-831-1117 to get the most up to date information on the status of your car. The online order tracking is not updated as often as the information on the 800 number. You just need your production number to access the information.
Once you know that your car has been shipped, you maybe able to track the progress of the shipping vessol at the below web site. This is the main shipping company that BMW uses but they sometimes will use alternates. My car supposedly shipped last week although it's not showing up in the tracking informoration on this site.

I ordered a 2007 550I on March 19th, it arrived at the VPC on April 28th...My dealer told me that the car would be held up for 3 weeks getting new bushings. I got a call today and was told that I could pick up the car at the dealership tomorrow night!!! Can't wait. Was expecting to wait till around May 20th for the car.. What a pleasant surprise!!
