Finally, it is the BMW turn

Well, I finally did it and got the 550i and I am loving it. I always loved the car but won't do it because of the rear drive and finally did it. I am planning on putting snow tires on the 17 inch wheels that came on the car and keep them that way afterward. Now, I want to get 19 or 20 inch wheels. Any thought or advice or recomendation? I did not get the sport package just in case you are wondering.

Right....I totally blew by your original question.

I didn't get the sport package on my 545 (so I had 17" wheels too). I changed out my wheels for 19" AC Schnitzer II's - and they were a significant improvement. On CA interstates the normal drive speed is 75-80 MPH, so I like the stability.

Plus, the larger wheels look a lot better. 17" wheels on a 545 kinda look a bit too small.

Here's a thread about wheels on the E60. You can see a few pix of my wheels about mid way down.

Its week 2 with my 07 550i and I cannot believe that I was a Lexus guy from 93-06. Luckily I am still in my early 30s, so can look forward to many years as a BMW guy. Honestly, this car is so much fun to drive. I had several posts (before my car came in) about the bimmer's interior being inferior to the Lexus; I have to say, I love this car inside and out. I miss the touch screen nav on my GS slilghtly , but nothing is wrong with the iDrive....and the way the 550i handles and feeld on the road is 100 times better than any Lexus I had.
Yep, I was a BMW guy and switched to Lexus back in late 2002 (just to try something different). Unfortunately I leased my GS430 and therefore was stuck with it for THREE YEARS (39 months to be exact). Hated it and I made sure everyone knew about it. When it came time for a new car, my staff came in to my office and closed the door and proceeded to tell me that if I bought anything BUT a BMW they would all quit as they were sick and tired of hearing me bitch about my car.

I am thinking of this wheel, what do you think?
