 2007 model 530 i/xi OR M3 coupe?

hey guys this is my first post here.
I am planning to buy a new bmw car in next month, I would like to choice one of 2007 model 530 i/xi and M3 coupe.
I compared both car on bmw official website. M3 has more driving fun, more powerful engine, one of my friends is driving it too. But for 530, less power, but more options like head up display, more luxury. Am I right? I havnt drive either both car before, can anyone give me an idea about these 2 cars?

That is a tough comparison. Totally different rides. Do you want to fly or glide? Do you need extra space or not? Do you have to lug around kids and there stuff occactionally? Do you take clients out and do you think they would mind asking you to put the seat up to get out? If it is just you and your girl friend and you don't have kids enjoy the coupe when you can.

The M3 and the 530 are completely different animals. I don't really think they can be compared.

I would love to go with M3 if I didn't have to drive clients, wife and kids around in it...

I wouldn't get the M3 until the new version comes out. Get a 2 year lease on a 530i... if you like it, buy a new one in 2 years - if not, trade for a new M3.

IMHO

Agree with all posts here...these two cars are very, very different. The 5-series is more luxurious, bigger, and better appointed. The M3 isn't far from being a tracking car: stiff, uncomfortable, smaller.

That isn't to say the M3 isn't a fun car...it is quite a bit of fun but it just depends on what ride comfort you are looking for.

To me, the 5-series is the best blend of sport and luxury you can have in a car and I think it is one heckuva family vacation car...perfect, in fact!
