The cost of conversion to M5 look from 550 is about the same as the new M5. Why not buy an M5?
1. M5 bumper kit: $2500 for part and labor
2. Mirrors: $1000 part and labor
3. Rim: $2500
4. Trunk lid $400
5. M5 Shift paddle and knob: $800
6. Two tone interior: $4000
7. New M5 fenders: $2000 part and labor
8. Exhaust mode: $1000
It's already $14000. Do you want more? I don't think it's worth it!
Wait for a used CPO M5 would be a better choice.

Just buy the M aero kit for 1280 plus shipping add 1200 for paint and install and buy some M5 wheels for about 2100 and you will be done.

Where did you order the kit for $1280?

$1280 is from CrevierBMW in Orange County, CA. Shipping is about $200. Try BMW of Newport in RI. They are closer to you. Contact Garry at gromani@bmwofnewport.com. He might give you the same or better deal. When you contact him be sure to mention e60.net so that he can give you the special. He's a sponsor over in e60.net.
