 PDC sensor issue

A friend of mine backed into my car and hit the rear bumper. He was quite slow so no big damage, but the flap that covers the PDC sensor broke off. At least it seems like it because I could not just pop it back. My guess is the flap lifts when I put it into reverse. Am I right?. Any advice on how to fix this?.

The flaps don't open when you go backwards, normally they just allow a very small sensor to emit and detect ultrasound waves (I believe). I bet you can just get a new one from the dealer and pop it in there....

Thanks!. I think you are probably right. I have the piece, but when I pop it in, it does not remain in place. It probably broke some piece that helps it to snap in place, though I cant tell just by looking at it. I will check with the dealer today.
