Could someone with a 2006+ 525i tell me if the rear suspension is independent? Or if it is a live axle.
I searched the forums but couldn't find any information and I also checked BMW website with no luck either. Most car manufacturers have this information on the technical section of their brochure or on their website but I couldn't find the information.

Independent. I don't think BMW has ever made a car w/ a live rear axle.

youll seldom many cars with a live rear these days..
usually only on american classics, trucks, SUVs and such..
