i need your advice
Hi guys! I am about to start negotiation with my local dealers/Northern NJ/ for lease on 2007 530 xi. My prelimary estimate is: Invoice price: 45905.00 Destination 695.00 Auto 1210.00 ZCW 685.00 ZPP 1540.00 ZSP 1185.00 Heated rear seat 320.00 Split rear seat 430.00
Total 50995.00 Assume Dealer profit 1000.00 which comes to grand total 52.000 We do not know MF and RF for May, but assume April numbers 36/15K 60% residual and .00225 MF residual price will be 31200.00 MD=52000.00-31200.00/36=577.77 MI= 52000.00+31200.00x.00225=187.50 Lease payment=577+187=764.00
Since I am in NJ my tax should be 6.25% of26000.00 which comes to1625.00, or 45.13 per month. My total payment then is 764+45=809.00 Therefore my first question is my math correct? What other people in my area pay for similarly equiped cars? Can I lower my payment by multiple deposits? How many I can do? What will happen with my payments? Thanks for all your time Alex Shulman

Im not sure that working the tax amount the way you did is right. Your way seems to assume that you can pay the tax in essentially interest-free monthly installments, and I don't think that's right. The tax has to be added into the total amount financed, I believe.

Good luck.
