Should I Go For This Deal.....???

well finally got a deal just about settled with internet sales manager. They are offering 2007 530i (sports, prem, automatic, and logic7) for 1500 above invoice. Currently negotiating with them about whether the 1500 above invoice includes the $380 MACO fee or not. Should I take this deal? Should I take it even if I have to add another $380 for MACO on top of the $1500 + invoice? thanks for the help guys!

1500 over invoice is where the good deals start. Can you do better? Probably, if you can play one dealer off another. The 1500 over invoice should include MACO however; dont let them add it on top of that. I seem to always need to play the 'the dealer up the road will do better' card to get the final $500 or so that I want. Either that or just walk and tell them to call you if/when they are ready to sell you the car at the price you want.

I would go for the deal if the $1500 over invoice includes the MACO fee.

There could also be some "training" fee included along with the MACO. Make sure the 1500 over invoice also includes this. It is a legit fee all dealers must pay along with the MACO fee.

What are training and MACO fees?

MACO may well be a US-only item; its a fee that dealers pay to BMW NA to cover advertising and such. There is a "System and Training fee" that is itemized someplace, but it's really part of the "invoice" price.

What happens in the US is that it's very common for purchasers to want to negotiate up from the invoice price, rather than down from the sticker price. So the dealerships try to say that certain costs they have to pay are not part of the invoice price, to get the total price of the deal higher.
