Is there a day and night difference in audio quality between Logic 7 system and the standard audio system?
If so, is it because of the presence of more number of speakers/subs or better quality speakers? Speaking about quality speakers, it's a Harmon Kardon right? I don't think Harmon is in the same league of audiophile speakers like Martin Logan, Vienna Accoustics etc (http://www.magnoliaav.com), a renowned HI-fi AV outlet does not carry Harmon.

True audiophiles don't listen to music in cars!!
In all honesty, I had the Logic7 in my car and really like it a lot but I had nothing to compare it to so dunno if it really is worth the extra dough.
I will, however, purchase it again for my 2007 E60 coming up in September.

I would like to find this out too!
I believe it's a combination of better amplification/processing and speakers.
BTW, Harman kardon brand itself produces decent stuff, but they also own brands like Mark Levinson which is well regarded in the hifi industry, and they also own brands such as JBL/Infinity and many others. Not sure if the speakers are JBL/Infinity or other HK brands, or they could have use other OEM speakers?

I think Logic7 is worth every penny. You might want to think hard before getting 6-disc CD changer though. IPod is getting so common. I think in a few years CD changers would become dated just like cassette players
