Are the exterior Courtesy Lights standard on 5 series or optional?
I checked the BMW site and couldnt find an answer.
The lights I am talking about come from underneath the exterior rearview mirrors.

Thanks for the reply. | If you go to the BMWNA website and click on "Build your own", you will see a mention of a "Lighting Package" listed as an item under "Premium Package." It is also mentioned in the hard-copy brochures for both '06 and '07.
I always assumed that this was referring to the lights under the outside mirrors, but perhaps not. Could a current MY07 E60 owner please advise those of us who are still awaiting the birth of our babies? Thanks.

On the website under Driver's Guide and then click on Technology for comfort, Convenience and safer driving, then udner Interior lights it shows a video of the exterior rearview lights coming on in bluish light but wasnt sure if it was standard on all 5s thats why I asked. here is the link http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/5/525...iversguide.htm
