My 550 is coming in next week and I have decided to replace the poplar with something else. I am leaning towards anthricite maple but will consider anything else interesting. Will also consider trades. I posted this on the for sale board but I am not sure if that is the place for it.

You will open up a very large can of crap if you start pulling the trim out of the car. Unless you love creaky, noisy, ill fitting interiors. Better leave it alone my friend and live with the poplar trim.

Here's my two cents... I have known many people replace their trim, and no one is complaining about any noises. Go and get the aluminum trim.

I found a factory kit on eBay for around $750. but it did not include the piece to go around the rear climate controls.

Then you are guaranteed that everything will fit properly. There is no guarantee with aftermaket parts.
