I just ordered my 2007 525xi with the premium package. The 2006 brouchure is contradictorary concerning the auto dimming rear view mirrors. On one page it states that the interior mirror as well as the exterior mirrors are auto dimming with the premium package however in the list of options in the back of the book it specifies that only the inside rear view mirror is auto dimming. The information online concerning the 2007 model only says that the interior mirror is auto dimming>
Does anyone with a 2007 know what the real deal is? It would be nice to have the exterior mirrors dim as well as the interior when on the Highway with some SOB with his brights on following behind.

I received my 530xi on 3/31/2006 and yes, all three are autodimming.
But, they are included only with the Premium package.

The Premium Pkg on the 2006 525i included only rear-view auto-dimming mirrors. This feature was not available on the 525i at all. I would think the '07 is the same.

Interesting. On the E39, only the vaunted ///M5 got interior and exterior electrochromatic (auto-dimming) mirrors. Exterior wasn't even offered on a non-M E39--only interior.  To get it, you had to drop serious coin on the M5 mirrors (have them painted) and run a couple extra wires per side for the auto-dimming to function.
I didn't notice if my exterior mirrors on my '05 mirror auto-dimmed. I honestly don't recall. I had both the prem and spts pkgs on it, too.
