Need help check engine came on ..
I have 1997 M3 I was at the light today on a stop suddenly my CHECK ENGINE came on..I was like ...so I went to AUTOZONE where they do free CHECK ENGINE light on...it came on P0455 - EVAPARATIVE EMISSION CONTROL system leak detected (Large leak).....Evaporation Canister or hose purge or Vent Solenoid Defect......I really need help can somebody tell me what this is....VANOS???? Thank You

Let me take a wild guess, maybe it is something wrong with the Evaporative Emissions System?
The Evaporative Emissions Sysstme is a large activated charcoal canister that traps the vapors coming out of the fuel tank when it heats up during the day. They are then fed into teh engine while running by circulating warm/hot air thgouht it, releasing the traps gas vapors to be burned int eh engine, avoiding them getting into the air.
It has several hoses and a plastic canister and some valves. Sounds like maybe a hose fell off or split.
