 Recommendation for those with infants

We are waiting US delivery of our new 2006 530i, with grey leather interior and have a question for those with infants. We have a Britax Roundabout car seat for our 15 month old son, that we mount in the side rear seat.

My question is, how do I protect the rear of the grey leather passenger seat from getting destroyed by my son's kicking? Should I put something like a T-shirt over it?

It hasn't been a problem with our current car, which has a black leatherette interior. BTW I'd get the leatherette over the leather if BMW offered is in the 5er with the Sport package.

Appreciate any help, as well as any other general advice with carrying the young one in the 5er.

Thanks.

I use something we bought at a baby store that goes under the seat and covers the front with two pockets at the bottom for binkys etc. I don't have a digi cam here otherwise I would take a pic. I think it was called a seat protector

You can get something to wrap around the headrest from babies r us or the right start. Also, I would recommend getting a seat saver at the places I just mentioned to put under the car seat so the leather is not destroyed. Good luck.

Tee shirt would be cool.. You can use wife beaters and then lower your car with 13 inch chrome wheels...

We have a Britax Marathon and simply put a folded up towel under it to prevent marking of the seat. However, I have not done anything to the seat back. It looks okay but now that my daughter is 4, I just YELL at her to stop kicking and she doesn't do it anymore.

I personally find Agent99's technic works best
