 2005 bmw 530i, hit a curb

Coming out of a parking garage at approx 5mph my front
left wheel hit the curb. It was sort of a glancing blow and not a direct
hit. Anyway what I see is heavy scratches along the wheel edge, the
tire seems OK.
So my question is, is it likey that there is damage to something other
than the wheel or tire, like the rotor or suspension. For example is it possible
that the rotor gets a wobble becos of impact.
Thanks for any useful comments.

I don't think it's going to do any damage at all. Just check it during daytime and you'll see. Also, if your car is shaky at hiway speed, you'd have bent rim. Needs to be fixed.
Good luck!

Thanks Chitung,
I will have the wheel/tire checked to see if bent.

sorry to hear that. Did it in my 911 turning off the raod extra quick because a little punk in a civic was on my a$$ and probably would have ended up rear ending me with the way traffic was stop and go.
Cost me around $900 total for a new rim, alignment check, and mounting.

Sounds like your car is fine. Worst case new rim $about 500.

Now I will tell you how I hit the curb. There was a lady in the car exiting
garage in front of me. She glanced back at my car (or me maybe)
and I got distracted and hit the curb (my fault). You can guess how I felt after that.
Of course I gave my wife a different reason, like how come they put a curb there.
Anyway, I had my wheel/tire re-checked and it is OK apparently.
