I'm currently driving an Audi A4, 2.8 5 spd. Just started looking at BMW's. I have read good comments in Car & Driver for years, but did not realize they have an all wheel drive version.
I wanted a slightly larger sedan than the A4, so I started right off the bat looking at the 530ix. But now I'm wondering if 3 series is also roomier than A4 & worth a look?
What factors caused you to choose the 5 series?

I looked at the interior space. Styling which I like much better in the 5 series and then the luxurious factor, smoother ride than the 3 offered. I wouldn't mind another 3 but I needed my next car to be somewhat roomier.
