My local BMW dealer is offering this 3 year lease on a loaded 2007 550i for $899 + tax with $5000 down. Is that a good deal? Thanks for the help

"Money Down" on a lease is rarely a good idea. Better to put the money into MSDs (see Ask A Dealer forum, near the top).
One, that money is gone, gone, gone if you wreck the car. Two, the point of leases IMO is to put as little money down as possible.
We need more details: car and options you want and the MF quoted. What is your cap cost?
Except for the 5k down, it seems a tad high but we really need more details.

Personally I would never pay more than ONE payment down + the other little things.
I cannot see putting money down on a car I'm renting.

It depends on options loaded. What included in term of "loaded"?
You need to find out what the money factor, cap cost, residual value, etc.
