Ok, here's the deal guys...I want to know if anyone has done an "m5 conversion" to their e60. I know they sell the M-Technic kit on Ebay and other sites to make the 5 look more sprty/aggressive like the m5.
Has anyone actually installed the m5 gills/sidevents? If so, how much did the actual labor cost to have it done?
Thanks a lot, Mike
P.S. Please don't tell me it's ricey or unclassy to try to make the regular 5 look like the M5...because you're not going to convince me otherwise.

Well, I'm not going to tell you it's unclassy (although it is), and I'm not going to tell you it's ricey (although SEMA would be proud) . . .but I have to ask . . .
If you don't have an M5, why make your car look like something it's not . . .
Although not as bad, it reminds me of the guys that converted their Pontiac Fiero to Ferrari Testarossa clones years ago . . .

No offense dude, but it's silly. What I did see that I liked but I cringed at liking were the chrome v8 badges for the sides.

It's one thing to install the M sport body kit, but to install the side gills--which include the M5 badge, and would be non-functional on a non-M E60--is crossing the line into poser land.

Your wish is my command... You're in LA. So is the guy that owns this car. You can call Platinum Motorsports over in Melrose.
