Ok, obviously I'm a noob to BMW and this forum...so I am trying to gather as much information as possible before I purchase.
I searched around a bit, but couldn't find the answer I'm looking for. I want to know if you are able to order the M-Technic Aero Kit as equipment for the car...that's going to be residualized on my lease.
So basically, if the M-Kit costs $2500 out the door with paint and install...would I be able to have the dealer just factor that into my lease and I end up paying the 40% or whatever of the kit...or would the dealer still be charging me the full price on the kit only for me to return the car with the kit...when I could have put the kit on my own, and sold the kit after the lease and get some of my money back.
Same question applies to the 166 OEM style 19 inch rims (The M5 rims).
Even if the dealer could let me just residualize the cost of the kit and rims, would it be wise financially? I mean I'd be saved the hassle of having to store the stock bumpers and rims...but I might be losing out on a lot of dough by having the dealer keep my stock stuff and charging me on top of it for the extra...when I could have paid myself for the mods, then sold it myself.
Sorry if my posts comes off a little complicated, if you guys need me to explain it again I gladly will.
Thanks in advance, Mike

You can only residualize $300 of the body kit, and you can't residualize any of the wheels.

If I can only residualize $300 of the body kit then I guess I'm much better just putting the thing on myself...If I paid 2500 for it out the door, after 3 years I don't see why I couldn't get about a thousand for it.
Same goes for the wheels if I can't residualize...if I pay $2k for wheels..at the end I could sell them for $1k instead of just getting nothing for them.
Thanks phillipe

Let me hijack my own thread for a minute....
For those of you with the M-Technic Kit....
How's the fitment? Is it OEM quality, or kind of off here and there?

If it were me I'd take that money and use it to upgrade to a 530 over the 525. I'd get a lot more enjoyment out of the bigger engine than the bigger wheels and bumper bits.

I've see the Aero kit in person...looks as good as any OEM BMW fitment: real nice! Do a search on "M Aero Kit" and you'll find some good threads.
