Right now my dealer is quoting me $840/mo for 3 yrs/15k lease for an 06 550i. The price for the similarly equiped 07 is almost $1000. My salesman says that this is because there is a program with BMW to get rid of the remaining 06 that they have in stock and no such program is in place for the 07. If it was a matter of a few bucks, I wouldn't care but over the time of the lease it is quite a lot of money to pay for better seats and a cooler steering wheel. My question is, does anyone think that BMW will introduce a similar promotion on the 07 models next month when all the 06 are gone?? If they do, it should bring the difference down to more like $30. Thoughts?? Thanks guys  |

Highly doubtful. Take the 06 and run - it's a great deal. In the back of my mind, I wish I could take advantage of 2.9% APR for the 07 530xi I'm buying, but I realize that until all 2006s are gone, BMW has no reason to offer it on 2007 models. And 2006s might be on dealer lots for a few more months.

Do the 06'. Except for comfort seats inc. in sports package instead of sport seats they are virtually the same car.

If history bears out, there will not be a similar program for the 07's until the 08's come out. The best time to lease a bmw is when the next model is out and BMW Finance has offered good programs on the older models!

What is the APR or MF they offered you?
