I've read quite some threads about taking 2 - 3 months from the date ordered til delivery

I ordered mine on 3/7 or so, and I was told by the dealer that my car is gonna arrive sometime next week ;D woohoo

so I guess it's actually only taking 5 - 6 weeks right now?

totally excited ; ) can't wait

I hope you're right. They told me 8-12 weeks.

Ordered my 5 series on 2/27 and it arrived in town on 4/6; 39 days. The dealer had originally told me 8-10 weeks, so I was very pleased with 39 days.

I think I was very fortunate that it only took five weeks from the order to driving my 530xi.

It was built the second day of MY07 production. I have a feeling that my dealer had some orders in the queue and just modified one with my needs.
