Hi - Im ordering an e60 as a surprise for my wife in black/auburn. Yesterday she came home telling me how she saw an afwul 330 in terra and how bad that color is - how close is terra to auburn?

Auburn reminds me of a new basketball in color but not as orange...more leaning towards red than orange. You should really try to see one in person if possible.
Take the wife to lunch one day and "happen" to go by a delership that has an Auburn interior you could casually urge her towards.

Thanks for the feedback (not sooo much TD - lol) I'll try and get her to look at it. As to what made her think she didnt like terra - not sure I can repeat it on this "family" forum lol - think it was just the browness.

Might be hard for you to show her the interior without really giving her any indication you want to buy her one. If you have a BMW now, you may want to invest in scheduling a service appointment, have a rock chip fixed, or the car detailed so that both of you can go to the dealership to drop it off. While there find a 5-series and be like "is that the color you saw the other day?" Might seem like a bit much but the time and money spent may save you years of "WTF were you thinking????"
