I've been playing with the Logic 7 equalizer settings, and still can't get the right sound of it . . .Also, I've been fiddling with the typical bass/treble settings . . .
Does anyone have a pic of the optimum equalizer settings? What mode, concert or theatre? Should I play with the regular bass/treble function?
I listen to hard rock in case that helps . . .

Another hard rocker here... used your question as an excuse to take a grocery run (Radar Love sounded pretty darn good this evening). I spent a lot of time with my settings with one or two fine tunes over the past 2400 miles. Try these:
100 +1 200 -2 500 +1 1K -2 2K -2 5K 0 10K +4 Logic 7 = Concert Treble +1 Bass -1 Speed +2

I keep it in the "concert" setting all of the time. The bass definitely can be a little boomy for my tastes, so turning it down at the 200hz setting can help that.

I'm waiting (and waiting) for my MY07 530xi with premium sound. I plan on using test CDs and a microphone with a spectrum analyzer to measure and adjust the system. Normally, I like a flat response meaning that you'll hear the music the way it was recorded. Then you can add or subtract bass or treble or adjust the equalizer to your listening preferences. I'm pretty sure that the acoustics of the 5 Series interior with leather seats should be similar enough that I can sharemy measurements and then let folks change to whatever they need.
It is always helpful to start with the settings that give a flat response and adjust from there.
By flat settings I don't mean all 0's, I mean some frequencies may need an increase or decrease to make the syetm "flat". This method ensures that the bass and treble frequencies don't overwelm the voice (mid-frequencies) and the music sounds balanced.
If this is too much techie talk. I'll try to just give you all a good starting point after I measure the system.
