 Newly acquired: 1987 325i convertible

Missing my M3 has relieved my wallet of the purchase price of a 1987 325i convertible with 137,000 miles. New top, clutch, brakes, reasonable maintenance history.

Everything but A/C works. 12 disc CD changer and black bottlecaps which will be replaced with a more conservative set of factory wheels.

Black on Black with zero rust!!!

Plans: see if I can upgrade the suspension with Bilsteins, timing belt, restore the leather

Pictures coming soon!

I'm getting there. Just got the car back yesterday....Full engine inspection including new plugs, timing belt, water pump, flex disk, OEM exhaust at aftermarket price.

Next month, new Bilstein HD's all around and new control arms. The following month, new top front seal and maybe tires. And that will be it.

Drives like a dream! 22-25 mpg so far.

RC,

I got a pair of Bilsteins B36-2028 HD rear shocks if you're interested. I got them new at Bavarian Autosport a while back but when I brought my sedan into Dinan to have them installed with the Dinan sports springs the guy at the shop suggested going with the Bilstein B36-2027 instead due to the lowered spring height. So they were never installed. I still have them in the Bilstein box. PM and make me an offer if you're interested.

I also have a set of Bilteins HD shocks for the front P30-0128 also bought new from Bavarian Autosport new and never installed but they probably don't fit your iC.

Wow, that's a lot of work fixing and upgrading! How much faster is the car with the 2.8L engine? Have you considered adding a performance chip from bavauto? How 'bout some pictures?
