I recently ordered a 2007 550i automatic for ED. I forgot to specify that I wanted the Steptronic feature. I noticed on the BMW site, when you build a BMW it is an option. Does BMW make a 550 automatic WITHOUT the Steptronic???? Did I have to request this feature as an option or do all automatics come with the steptronic??

All BMW automatics have the steptronic feature since uh, 2002 on I believe. So clearly, no you dont need to put in a special request.
Now, about those halos around the headlights...........jpjpjp

Thanks for your help | If you did not spec the Step then you will get a 6-speed manual. That is the default transmission.

It will be a Steptronic automatic. BTW... I love mine. My last 5 series was a 5-speed manual.... I was tired of it. This is so much nicer when driving in stop and go traffic.
