Is Cold Weather Package worth it in San Jose??

I'm about to order a 530, and am finalizing my options. I'm skeptical whether the Cold Weather Package will be needed in San Jose's Mediterranean climate, but I see many of the cars on local dealer lots come with it. (A salesman told me that once you have it, you never want to be without it.)

All feedback appreciated.

Don't live in San Diego......however family is originally from the Bay Area....way I see it is this.....if and when you ever decide to sell it on the resale market it will be a lot easier to sell "nationally" with the cold weather package, without limiting your prospects to only Florida....California....and Texas. Just my $0.02.

However as for "need" in San Diego, are there ever mornings in the winter where cars have frost on them? If not, it's not needed, however as I mentioned above it's good to have when it comes time to sell it.

As I recall, the bug population can get pretty thick around San Jose and, say, Gilroy. The headlight washers could come in handy.
And the fold-down seats and "ski sack" pass-through are quite useful for all sorts of lengthy items, not just skis.

I live in the midwest where CWP is a must, but even on 40-50 degree mornings, it's nice to switch the heated steering wheel and seat warmer on for just a few minutes to take the chill out.

Yes, nights and morning in the Bay area could be pretty cold, and warm seat feels very nice then. Plus, what if drive to Tahoe to ski? Then definitely get CWP. If you don't ski, or don't want ski bag for any other reason, I believe you could order just the seats and save some minor dough.

I bought my car from dealer inventory and it had CWP. Not something I'd order (also live in bay area), but I really like the thicker steering wheel (a result of the steering wheel being heated). Since my car is garaged, even on the coldest mornings we get here, I don't use the seat or steering wheel heaters (I think I've used them once, to test them!). And given how little rain we get (outside of this time of year), I'm not sure how much benefit from the headlight washers you'll get, since they only operate when the headlights are on, and--I believe--every few times you use the windshield washers.
