 New ipod integration options

Not sure if this has been posted, but these look like some pretty good solutions for ipod integration.

the one from 2point5.com is more likely to work with a BMW (works like icelink with a nice dock)

also the bluetooth one, but battery life can be a problem

Check the one of the sticky posts...stream did a write-up on how he approached this.

If cool with you and stream, maybe I'll merge this post with his? Lemme know if that's cool.

The first product is a simple plastic plate that you insert your iPod into to connect to whatever connection method you're using, and isn't available for the E60. From their site:
It is not an interface, but is instead an enhancement to your existing iPod interface

Is there something else on their site that I missed (you refer to it working like icelink)?

The bluetooth product is clunky--the transmitter that attaches to the iPod is as big as an iPod. I looked at over half a dozen products, including these, and came to the conclusion that the configuration I'm using is the best solution for me. At least until somebody comes out with a true iDrive integration through the MOST bus.

Your integration is well done indeed. I got a 07 530i, so no AUX custom work for me

I'll look forward to better solutions for showing my ipod playlist and control it via my iDrive.

Hope someone will come up with a even better solution soon
