 2007 530xi on order -- black saphire, nav, comfort access and seats, premium, cold weather and premium stereo.... I think I may have gone overboard on the options! -- been tracking it online like a freak! It just hit "scheduled for production" -- does anyone have a sense of how long it really takes to get the car? I have seen some folks range from 7-9 weeks -- |

AND........... the wait will drive you crazy (see my schedule below). I got so sick of that music on the order tracking. LOL!!!

6-8 weeks. I just ordered a 2007 530xi loaded as well, but also did the sport package with the 18's. I am looking at an arrival date at the end of April. Stinks....I want the car now!

I was just thinking of posting a question about order time. I placed an order for an 06 530i four weeks ago tomorrow. The status on order tracking very qucikly changed to show the correct car configuration (it went from alpine white to black sapphire) and said that it was "on order." The status has not changed since. I e-mailed the salesman earlier this week, but have not heard back (he may be on vacation and I've been too busy at work to call). So, it seems very odd that people are getting scheduled for production dates for 07 models and I'm still waiting for that status for an 06 (BTW, I went with an 06 so I could lock in the attractive lease rates for the 06, not knowing what they may look like for an 07).
Any thoughts?

I heard that they were stopping 06 production due to "EPA/emission" changes they wanted to implement. Who knows if that is BS or what. I was "on order" for about 10 days and just switched to "Scheduled for Production" last night. I would go to the dealer and inquire -- I think they can see a little bit more detail than we can on the owners circle website! Good luck and lets hope we get these darn things soon!
P.S. -- that music on the production tracking website will drive a normal person --- crazy. they need to add a mute feature!!
