Problem: Stereo changes to FM after car start

Is anyone having a problem where when you start your car, instead of the stereo being set to the last thing you were playing (like the satellite), it reverts back to FM? This is happening to me almost every morning when I start the car. Strange thing is when I'm out running errands during the day, it doesn't seem to do it then (at least most of the time). It seems related to how long the car is off?

I have a 2006 535i with Navigation and the Premium Sound Package and Satellite that is only 2 months old. I called my local service department and they said they have never heard of such a problem.

Could the computer be rebooting itself everynight or something? Strange and annoying!

If there are others with the problem I will press the service department to do some more research on the issue.

I had this happen to me once since I got my car. I started it one morning and it was on a FM station that plays soft rock. Its not a station I would listen to so I know I didn't change it.

More often I find when I start my car it is playing a different MP3 then what was playing when I last shut the car off.

It has happened to me... maybe 3 times in the past year....... Each time, when I pulled on the iDrive knob (Entertainment)... to change back to Sat...it switched back to the Sat channel that I was listening to when I turned off the car, without me having to browse for the Sat channels.
