 seeking E60 roof rack pics



My E39 had threaded holes behind tiny flip-up doors on the rain gutter to accept the pillars for the roof rack. The E60 uses a clamp based system.

I have the BMW brochure but would like to see some detailed pics if anyone has the rack installed. We will be taking the 530 to Maine this year and need to install our Thule Cascade roof box.

I wonder why BMW changed from the old system to the new?

I wondered the same thing...... BTW... my e39 roof rack with 2 bike mounts is FOR SALE.
