I have a 2 year old 2004 545 with the sports package and I have had to replace two wheels and multiple (3) sets of tires. I have been told that you cant go over a pothole with this car. I believe that there is a problem with both the wheels and the tires on this car. I have spoken to many people who own cars that have low profile run flat high performance tires and they have absolutely no problems with their wheels or tires. Has anyone had similar problems?

Can you post pics of your wheels so we have a reference point?
I believe you should be getting 20-30k miles out of a set of RF's. You should be on set two at the most.

This seems to be an issue inherint to RFT's as numerous people on the Z4 board have noted the same issue. Although I wouldn't discount the possibility that BMW has some design/manufacturing issues with its RF wheels.

Dunlop and BMW are replacing these tires at n/c.
