 Front suspension "clunk"?

Not sure if it's my imagination, but I seem to be hearing/feeling a slight occasional "clunk" in the front end when turning at slow speeds... I'm talking speeds like backing out of my driveway.

I don't think it's anything serious, it is a very slight clunk... maybe happens twice when I back out of my driveway or slowly pull into a parking lot.

Anyone else hear/feel this? Suppose it could be an Active Steering issue?

I'm not having any "lurching" or "rpm issues"...... just a little weird "clunk" noise at very slow speeds.... and not all the time.

Hope this helps.

Paragraph FROM EDMUNDS:
The driving experience ranged from irritating to exhilarating. Irritation came quickly in low-speed traffic, as the drivetrain responded unpredictably to accelerator pedal input. Too little pressure and the sedan would move out sluggishly. Too much and it would surge forth, leaving the driver to rein it in before it snuggled up to an SUV's rear bumper. The area between these extremes often eluded our editors and made the car a pain to drive at rush hour. In addition, one editor noted that the transmission tended to hang onto first gear too long in these situations — eliciting more thrust than you really want when slogging from stoplight to stoplight. Another observed that when slowing in traffic, the transmission always seemed to be shuffling through the gears, often supplementing the driver's braking efforts with more engine braking than desired.

Update on my slight "clunking" noise and the slight "jerking/groaning" of the steering column as it moves into position upon startup and as it moves up and away when turing off the key......

My dealer diagnosed it as upper steering column problems and is ordering parts to replace the upper steering column mechanism.

Apparently while in the process of reinitializing the steering column angle sensor..... they lost power to part of the building and had to completely re-install that software. Hopefully that won't cause any other issues.

Final update on the clunking noise and the groaning noise when the steering column was in motion upon startup and shut down, etc.......

They replaced the upper steering mechanism and a spindle in the front suspension. Everything is perfect now...........
