This morning parking my car the Idrive starts acting up telling me I have a Passenger Restraint System Possible Malfunction dealing with the Airbags, belt tensioner or such. During the day the error keeps popping up every time I start the car. I called my dealership and they won't be able to get me in until tuesday. I did a search, but didn't find anything conclusive. Has anyone seen this and is it a software problem? Thanks, Chris

I had this a while back. There's a service bulletin that says to clean the battery terminals--worked on my car.

I've had it in twice for the same problem. I think thye told me it's a software issue and they have to replece something in the seat. Now I am waiting for parts for over two weeks.

Got the car back this morning after less than 24 hours. They said there was a sensor failure in the passenger seat. They said it was the Passenger Occupancy Detector. They replaced the seat mat and cushion as well. So far so good!
