How long does it take to ship the car... I logged into the BMW Owners Circle and it says en route... I live in NY... dont know if that helps but I just cant wait to get it... I feel like a little kid  |

Received a call from my dealer today, mine just pulled into port. Began it's "cruise" to California on Jan 18. Yours should be quicker than that. And believe me... I understand how you feel!!!!!!!

I live in NY and it took about a week or so to come over the pond and then it takes about a week or so at the VPC in Jersey City. The wait is long no matter what but hang in there it will be worth it.

My 550 is in transit so i think it will be at least a month before i see it for the first time. It might be less painful for me since i didnt get to drive it then have to give it back.

Another data point.
When I ordered a 540i6 to my liking in 2000, it took 10 weeks from paperwork to delivery on the east coast. I did not have to sign or pay for anything until delivery day.
Surely you can get cars sooner if you find something to your liking that the dealer has already ordered...
