Sales of 4,681 5 Series this month represents a 42.8% increase over the 3,278 units sold in January, 2005.
By way of comparison sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class totaled 2,465 units this month; down 9.5% when compared to January, 2005.

It is interesting that more than half of the E60 530's are sold with the AWD option (I know xi vs. i). Only about 1/3 of the 525's are AWD.
Why do you think people who purchase the 530 are more interested in the AWD? Do you think that the people who purchase the 525 are more price concious of the cost of the AWD option?
