I was curious about this question. What color do you think has the best resale value? Resale Value being money received when it is time to sell, and the number of days the car would be on the market, as some some colors sell better than others.

Someone told me that it was silver but I am not sure where he got his info from.

no real data to back up, but clearly the more neutral colors like silver or silver grey are better for resale. Colors like white are a bit more diffcult. Blacks are always a classic that should not be a problem I'd think...

Black, silver, and white.
For any car line. My fav is black but always passed because of the extra work to keep it clean.
So my last few cars have been silver or white.
I think the various shades of silver are fine for resale. It is the colors like burgundy, blue, red, gold that have limited buyer interest.
However, if you lease the car it does not matter, get what you like. If you are buying and plan on keep the car for awhile, again, I don't think it matters much.

Its silver. Look at BMW's (or nearly any auto) marketing literature and you'll see silver most of the time. Its kind of like tan walls - doesn't really make a statement, but doesn't offend anyone either. Hence, best resale color.

Silver has been a top seller for a number of years now, but "most popular" colors go through cycles. Four or five years from now something else may become very popular. My bet is on Monaco Blue.
