anyone have any thoughts on when the new 5 series will come out? since current e60 came out in 2004 and bmw seems to be on a 7 year cycle, i am guessing the new one will come out in 2010 as a 2011. the wagon would folow in 2011 as a 2012. this would fit with the current wagon coming out in 05 as an 06. does this make sense? some people have been suggesting that due to fierce competition that bmw and other makes will be shortening their product cycle times, but i have not seem much evidence of that as of yet...although i read somewhere that mercedes will introduce the new e-class in 2009 as a 2010. i believe the current model came out in 2004..any thoughts would be appreciated.

The E-Class mid-run facelift is due out next year as an early 2007, and the new one I believe is due as a 2010 model, probably available in 2009.

Hmmm...At this rate March 2010 or September 2010 for the 2011 E??, but i just want diesels in the USA sometime soon !

Cycle is 6 - 8 years.
E39 was 8 years. (1996-2003)
E46 was 6 for sedan (1999-2005)
